What about Rape?? A must read.

Rape is rape, it means having a sexual intercourse with someone without his or her consent, any one can be raped, men can rape women, women can rape men, men can rape men and women can rape women.
There is no excuse for rape, nothing justifies rape, if you rape someone, you have raped him/her, you did so because you failed to control the animal instinct in you, you are  just like a common thief, who steals anything that appeals to him or her.
What makes sex rape, is lack of consent, you have all the time in the world to seek for consent, if the person is not willing, then you perish your desires or look some where else.
Rape is not caused by indecent dressing though it can inflame your passion, Rape is caused by your inability to put your emotions under control.
The world associates indecent dressing with partial nudity, exposure of body parts but as far as Africa and our culture and traditions are concerned that is fallacy, pure fallacy.
Indecent dressing means wearing the wrong dress to the wrong place. So if you go to the Church dressed like someone going to the Club, that's indecent dressing. There are formal clothes for formal events, casual clothes for casual events, cultural clothes for cultural events, every place or event has it's own dress code. If you wear the wrong dress at the wrong place, that is indecent dressing even if you are not exposing any part of your body, going to the market with your night gown is indecent dressing.
In many parts of Africa culturally, young maidens/unmarried ladies has no business covering their breast when they are at home or around their neighborhood, they only cover their pubic region.
In the absence of modern wedding rings, covering of breast or wearing of top clothes implies that the person is married.
Again grandmothers who has passed the child bearing age also do not cover their breast, they go about their business around their villages/neighborhoods uncovered.
Having a full breast was a pride, young maidens displayed it to prove their virginity and to attract suitors, they dance in the village square during festivals and full moons without having to cover the upper parts of their body. Men were present in their society, they go to these events with them, they dance with them and interact with them, yet more people are raped today than then.
This is because these men had integrity, they understood what it means to be a man, that a man's emotions must obey him and not the man obeying his emotions, they believed in due process, they believed in the concept of consent.
Every one has the right to look and to admire anyone and anything but you do not have the right to touch or take without the consent of the owner, doing so is an abomination and taboo against the land and it is punishable.
That someone is loosely or scarcely dressed or even nude may not be right these days but it still doesn't give you the right to jump on the person without his or her consent. When you see a very nice car being displayed by the owner/seller, what do you do if you desire it so much? You go to the owner to find out if he is willing to sale or at least allow you to drive around, you tell the owner how much you love the car and if he/she is willing to sale, you begin to negotiate the prize, it means you are seeking consent.
If you can't jump into the car and drive off with it because you so much love the car, how about a human being? The difference between humans and other animals is that we can reason, we can control our desires, emotions or passion, we don't let them rule us.
Indecent dressing can not justify rape, indecent dressing is not the cause of rape, lack of control over emotions is what causes rape, learn to put yours under control like our fore fathers in Africa did, if you can't secure consent, perish your emotions or visit a brothel and pay.
